The American Institute of Building Design is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to the development, recognition, and enhancement of the profession of building design.

Council of Publishing Designers - A need for a publishing designers council always existed. There are over 100 building designers and residential architects producing plans for the national pre-drawn homeplan market, and hundreds more working regionally.

There were questions of copyright and liability, a need for uniform plan standards, a common recognizable seal for assurance of the general public, and the need for networking between the designers and the publishers.

The first meeting was held in Houston in January of 1995 and a steering committee was established to assist in the formation of a council. The steering committee met in Orlando in March of 1995 and the council was formed as an entity politically separate from AIBD but nonetheless involved.

The Metro Omaha Builders Association (MOBA) - The Metro Omaha Builders Association, chartered in 1946 and affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and the Nebraska State Home Builders Association, is an organization of individuals and firms involved in residential and light commercial building and development and related industries.

Nebraska Association of Home Builders - NAHB is a Washington, DC-based trade association representing more than 211,000 residential home building and remodeling industry members. Known as “the voice of the housing industry,” NAHB is affiliated with more than 800 state and local home builders associations around the country.
